I saw The Twilight Singers two week ago and wasn't so much impressed by the band as I was by the passion of the crowd. But I was intrigued, and after getting some distance from the show and listening to Blackberry Belle, their acclaimed album from 2003, in the much quieter comfort of my own home, I've come to understand a bit of what the crowd was screaming and pumping their fists for.
