I often run at the YMCA and read Rolling Stone and Spin magazines looking for reviews of new, unfound records. Last week, I read about a Syracuse, NY band called Ra Ra Riot. The review really got my attention with this paraphrased quote, "Ra Ra Riot combine Arcade Fire's Orch Pop sound with Vampire Weekend's pop sensibilities creating an album that is both effervescent and heartbreaking." That was enough for me to download it. Check out tracks 1, 5, & 6.

Oh man, you were seduced by some lame RS reviewer who could only name drop two brand new indie-pop bands. pfffft. Whatg piques your interest would only stifle mine. If I read that review, I would pee on the magazine and light it on fire. Then again, I'm drunk.
